Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 launches on May 24, 2024. It features a major collaboration with the Fallout video game franchise.
Players can also expect new integrations like Fall Guys and various exciting updates and events throughout the season.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is set to start on May 24, 2024. Season 2 is scheduled to end early in the morning, around 4 AM ET, followed by a maintenance period.
If everything goes smoothly, Season 3 will launch later that morning. However, Season 2 faced a prolonged downtime during its launch.
Chapter 5 Season 2 will not conclude with a large-scale live event. Instead, the battle royale map is undergoing real-time changes. Recently, a giant statue at Mt. Olympus has been electrified, and Pandora’s Box sank into a lake after several days of lightning strikes.
Currently, a big storm with red lightning is visible to the south of the island, and the statue appears damaged.
On May 17, Epic Games announced a collaboration with the Fallout video game franchise for Chapter 5, Season 3.
This crossover will likely introduce at least one Fallout-themed location and Brotherhood of Steel power armor as skins or equipment. Vault Dweller skins might also be available in the shop.
Next season, Fall Guys will be integrated into the Fortnite ecosystem. This integration may involve playable Fall Guys characters in Fortnite and the ability for UEFN creators to use Fall Guys props.
These additions might not happen simultaneously, but they are expected to be part of the upcoming season.
A leaked roadmap for the Fortnite ecosystem in 2024 has gained credibility, especially after accurately predicting Billie Eilish as the next Fortnite Festival icon. The roadmap suggests a post-apocalyptic theme for the summer season, aligning with the Fallout collaboration.
There are also rumors of vehicular combat and a potential crossover with the “Furiosa” movie, which releases on May 24.
The roadmap also hints at a Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration, possibly featuring a Jack Sparrow skin in the battle pass or as part of an event.
Fortnite Festival Season 4 will kick off on June 13, featuring Metallica as the highlighted artist.
Rocket Racing’s first season, Neon Rush, will receive more updates, possibly introducing a volcano theme. Additionally, there are rumors about customizable SUVs in battle royale and Rocket Racing modes, potentially including Rocket League’s car types.
Lego Fortnite’s summer season, featuring Star Wars-themed content, will continue until late July.
New waves of My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen cosmetics are expected soon. While new MHA items are already in the shop, the second wave of Jujutsu Kaisen is expected, possibly coinciding with the summer event.
Fortnite has recently removed its cosmetic rarity system, a change that has been met with mixed reactions. A new feature displaying the planned rotation date for cosmetics in the Item Shop will launch in late May, likely coinciding with Season 3.
Leaker HYPEX removed “Weapon Charms” references, suggesting they might be prepped for a future release. A long-awaited first-person mode could make these charms more visible.
Epic Games is developing a picture-in-picture mode that allows players to watch videos from platforms like TikTok while playing Fortnite.
This feature will enable users to like, unlike, and report videos directly from the game.
Epic has confirmed that Fortnite OG will return in 2024 with a new twist. They are exploring ways to reintroduce it without simply repeating past events.
Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 on May 24, 2024.
